In this mixed-media composition, Dalí explores the most universal Christian prayer through the ethereal image of a faceless Madonna and Child. Soft ochres and indigos dissolve into one another in watercolor and gouache, while the classical drapery is rendered with meticulous, almost sculptural precision. The result is a vision of divine maternity—serene, mysterious, and timeless—blending Renaissance reverence with Dalinian mysticism.

Certified by the late Robert Descharnes, Dalí’s longtime secretary and archivist, this work represents one of the most poetic meditations from the Biblia Sacra cycle.
