Ichwan Noor’s Surreal Volkswagen-based sculptures astound viewers with whimsical playfulness. Noor is renowned for his large-scale sculptures of hybrid human, animal and technological forms. He works predominantly with bronze, stainless steel, aluminum, various used materials and resin.

Born in Jakarta in 1963, Noor developed a profound interest in art from an early age and went on to study at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design at the Bandung Institute of Technology.
